The Grand Theft Auto series of action/adventure video games in which players take on the role of a petty criminal who they will guide to the top of the crime world. Players start out with small crimes which get bigger and bolder as his reputation grows. Grand Theft Auto games have elements of third person shooters, driving, action/adventure and stealth genre. All but the first two titles are sandbox style games which gives players a great deal of freedom in exploring the environments and completing objectives.

Grand Theft Auto IV is actually the sixth title in the Grand Theft Auto series of games to make it to the PC. In it players take on the role of Nikolai "Niko" Bellic who has come to Liberty City to start a new life. Soon after arriving Niko must fend for himself and turns to a life of crime. Like other titles in the series the story lineis based on your ability to complete assigned missions, with a number of side missions that help you gain experience and items that can help in the objective based mission. Grand Theft Auto IV however is planned to blend these missions and make them a bit more open ended with player actions determining the flow and outcome of the game.
Although to date there has not been an official announcement for the PC release, if the previous titles are any indication it should be out within six months after then PS3 and Xbox 360 release in April 2008.
